WHAT, NO CHICKS?
Many of you may have been looking forward to seeing the arrival of a tray of eggs this term that would have eventually become cute and cuddly baby chicks. Sadly not so.
If you cast your mind back to last Autumn, we had the pleasure of watching our eggs hatch live, both in school and over the internet.
Unfortunately, we were called by the farm who provide us with the incubator and eggs and were informed that due to the unusual weather we have had to endure this summer, the egg laying/fertilizing process has not gone as planned. Consequentially, the farm did not want to send us eggs that would simply go off over the next few weeks.
That minor disappointment aside, we are now making arrangements to have the eggs/chicks later in the school year. Watch this space for more info….
