Come in and have a look at our new Year 6 learning environment. It’s awesome.
As part of our commitment to Independent Learning we have moved away from the conventional desks and chairs system and redesigned the Year 6 base with lots of new learning areas for our pupils. Here are some photos to give you an idea of what it looks like…
Preparations are well under way across the school for the start of the new school year which is rapidly approaching.
As always, the whole school has been cleaned from top to toe and every classroom is ready for it’s new group of children. On top of the usual preparations a great deal of work has gone in to updating the learning environment in Year 6. It looks fantastic.
Families wishing to buy school uniform can come to the front office as always during school hours but on the first day we’re all extremely busy dealing with the new families, so please wait until after school on Tuesday or Wednesday morning onward for that.
We hope you’ve all had a lovely break and very much look forward to seeing you all in school colours on Tuesday 29th August. Doors open at 8.35am as always.
Firstly, we would just like to say well done to all of the year 6 pupils on a truly fabulous year. They have all worked so hard in the classroom this year and have achieved so much in their SATS. They have made us very proud.
Their end-of-year production of Grease was something quite special and every one of them performed brilliantly in front of the whole school, family and friends. What a show.
Across the school our pupils and staff have worked tirelessly to ensure that they had a really solid year. All children have made outstanding progress thanks to some fantastic work put in by the staff.
Well done everyone.
Here’s hoping you all have a great summer and we look forward to seeing you on Tuesday 29th August.
This morning we had a whole school assembly and showed our children and families the final recording of the Dragon’s Den event of two weeks ago.
And we now have a winner!!
Congratulations go to Class 8 for their fantastic idea of an All-Weather Jacket that was bright, reflective, waterproof, had removable sleeves and a removable lining for the various weather conditions we get on these fair Isles.
Well done to the children involved; Bhumika, Maryam, Fazluna, Mason, Sneha, Kehul and Rayne. And let’s not forget the support of the class teacher, Miss Hubbard.
Well done also to Year 2 who were second place with their fantastic Soap product. What a great idea that was.
