Early Years Foundation Stage

Pupils in F2 have an exciting Autumn term. Take a look at some of the activities they have enjoyed.

After reading ‘Going on a Bear Hunt’ by Michael Rosen we went to the ‘Lily Marriott Park’ to see if we could find any bears. Look what we found!

Farmer James came to visit with some lambs and chickens. We learnt how to bottle feed the lambs and what a chicken feels like when you stroke it. It was really exciting when one of the chickens laid an egg.

What a great surprise when Percy the Park Keeper came to visit and read the children one of his own stories. The children enjoyed asking him lots of questions about the animals that live in Percy’s park.

Even the rain cannot stop the children from enjoying the fresh air and having fun outside. Raincoats, water proof trouser and wellington boots mean that learning takes place outside all year round.

Soon the children will be doing lots of exciting ‘Superhero’ activities and learning about real life heroes who help to keep us safe and healthy.
